More than 100 original Navy SEALs, military soldiers, and another supporters gathered in Washington, D. C. on Monday to rear Pete Hegseth’s election as the next secretary of defense. Hegseth’s confirmation hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, before the Senate Armed Services Committee, so the march is scheduled.
” These are warfighters. That’s who support ]s ] Pete. That’s who’s on this floor. These are the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our nation. And they’re telling you the way it is”, original Navy SEAL Bill Brown said.
In the days leading up to Tuesday’s confirmation hearing, Hegseth was accused of misconduct at work by reported anonymous options, all of whom claim anonymity. Laundered by America’s dishonest business advertising, some of these states appear to plant from a previous disgruntled employee. They have also been greatly disputed by Hegseth’s past coworkers and associates.
A person also , previously , accused Hegseth of sexual abuse following a alleged 2017 sexual encounter between the two.  , Lawyers declined , to press charges due to a shortage of “proof beyond a reasonable question”, according to , information.

Former Navy SEAL Hudson River Swims, a charity function involving original SEALs, were attended by many soldiers on Monday, including many soldiers who were past Navy SEALs who participated in the event. Hegseth recently participated in the float while serving as a Fox News number.
Rob Sweetman, a Navy SEAL veteran, told event participants that the country and its military service users “need Pete Hegseth” as defence minister, and lambasted the” smear plan” designed to cylinder his assurance.
” Pete’s a great bro, we know him personally”, Sweetman said. ” He’s a patriot, he’s went down range, he’s done the right things, and he’s got my vote”.
The only way to transcend politics is [through ] service and sacrifice with your life for our inalienable rights, according to Navy SEAL veteran and fellow participant in the Hudson River Swims, and Hegseth has fulfilled that obligation throughout his career.
” Pete Hegseth showed up and showed out to show his loyalty, internally, to reflect our citizens and to offer our best to our veterinarians”, Bigbee said, referring to Hegseth’s involvement in the Hudson River Swim. ” Pete Hegseth has fought and demonstrated that he fought and died for our intrinsic right.”
Hegseth’s smear campaign was condemned by Marine Corps veteran Jessica Quezada, who said,” If you want to see a picture of who he is… look at the ability of people standing behind him [they know ] is going to do good” in his capacity as defence minister.
” We are therefore frustrated and angry by what has come undone by the latest administration”, Quezada said. ” I am a woman]and a veteran of the Marine Corps who is in favor of a person who will stand up for everyone in the dress, regardless of gender or shade.”
Monday’s briefing also featured responses from Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., a part of the Senate Armed Services Committee. During his remarks, the Cotton State’s top legislator reaffirmed he is” 110 percentage” behind Hegseth’s election and pledged to help “get him across the end line”.
“ We need to stretch our military schools out .” We need to return to the same level of respect, devotion, and belief in our defense, and it all starts with Pete Hegseth,” said Tuberville.

Hegseth is expected to experience angry doubting from the Senate Armed Service Committee’s Democrat people during Tuesday’s reading.
Last year, for example, council member and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., issued a 33-page email containing fraudulently framed and angry statements and questions about Hegseth’s beliefs and background. This included an obvious stain of Hegseth’s Christian beliefs.

” We cannot have a Defense Secretary,” wrote Warren, noting that” comrade service members feel sufficiently concerned about reporting as a potential insider threat.”

It’s not just Senate Democrats who could possibly barn Hegseth’s assurance, yet.
Last month, many Trump world solutions href=”https://thefederalist.com/2024/12/04/trump-world-sources-joni-ernst-is-waging-aggressive-personal-jihad-against-hegseth/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>told The Federalist that Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, was waging an “aggressive” personal warfare to undermine Hegseth’s election. According to reports, Ernst, a member of the Armed Services Committee, contacted Trump to request that he resign as defense secretary and hire Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., to lobby the incoming president to replace Hegseth with Ernst.
Both Republicans seemingly changed their tunes on Hegseth’s nomination following The Federalist’s reporting on their behind-the-scenes antics.
Republicans would be foolish not to confirm Pete Hegseth as defense secretary.
Meanwhile, Sen. Todd Young, R-Ind., refused to commit to supporting Hegseth’s confirmation when pressed by The Federalist on his position last month, while Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N. C. — who has pledged to back Hegseth and other Trump nominees — issued a veiled threat to conservative voters that continued pressure to confirm Trump’s picks could prompt Republicans to side with Democrats in tanking their nominations.
