Donald Trump called Special counsel Jack Smith’s report on US President-elect’s alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election results “fake” and said that the “Unselect Committee illegally destroyed and deleted all the evidences.”
In a statement released earlier now, Jack Smith and his team announced the conclusion of their research that led to Trump being charged in 2023 with four felonies related to an alleged” legal system” to reject the 2020 election results. Trump entered a not-guilty petition to every charge.
Over 250 volunteer interviews and evidence from more than 55 witnesses before the grand jurors are included in this document, which the justice ministry published early on Tuesday following a national court’s acceptance.
” To exhibit you how desperate Disturbed Jack Smith is, he released his Artificial studies at 1: 00 A. M. in the morning. Did he claim that the Unselect Committee systematically destroyed and deleted all of the evidence, according to Trump in Truth Social?
The circumstances against Trump, including the classified records event, were discontinued after his election in November, due to the Justice Department’s established legislation against prosecuting sitting president.
The last record clearly supports Smith’s assertion that, if voters hadn’t elected him president in 2024, he would have been found innocent of multiple offenses for his attempt to fraudulently alter the outcome of the 2020 election, according to ABC.
” The Department’s see that the Constitution prohibits the continued prosecution and prosecution of a President is unambiguous and does not turn on the weight of the acts charged, the strength of the President’s evidence, or the qualities of the trial, which the Office stands fully behind”, the statement said.
The Office determined that the accepted facts was sufficient to obtain and support a faith at trial, in addition to Trump’s election and his immediate return to the presidency.
The report stated that” the throughline of all of Trump’s judicial efforts was dishonesty- intentionally false claims of election fraud,” and that the evidence demonstrated that Trump used these lies as a means to undermine a national government function essential to the political process.
The Office was aware of Trump’s free speech rights during the research and would not have brought a trial if the data suggested he had only engaged in rough-and-tumble politicians or social exaggeration, according to the report. The conduct of Trump and co-conspirators, but, went well beyond speaking their minds or contesting the election results though our lawful system”.
The document details conversations with a number of “fake votes” who acknowledged they would not have voted if they had been aware of the conspirators ‘ full amount.
The prosecution’s opportunity was broader than formerly known, involving over 250 volunteer interviews and evidence from more than 55 testimony before the great jury, as per ABC.
Judge Aileen Cannon permitted the public launch of Level One early Tuesday, whilst Level Two, concerning the classified records investigation, remains unpublished due to ongoing appeals involving Trump’s former co-defendants.
After finishing the cases and submitting his report to Garland, Smith resigned as a special prosecutor on Friday.
