One month before giving strength to his Democratic replacement, Donald Trump, the incoming US President Joe Biden delivered his last foreign plan address at the State Department in Washington on Monday.
Biden’s speech addressed all from his efforts to build stronger American allies to the policies of his administration toward China and Ukraine.
” Compared to four years ago, America is stronger, our relationships are stronger, our enemies and foes are weaker”, Biden said after officials gave him a standing applause.
The chairman said that he is “leaving the future management with a very strong hands to play”, with” an America that once again is leading, uniting nations, setting the mission, bringing others up behind our plans and missions”.
Gaza peace is “on the verge.”
Biden says a peace deal in the Israel-Hamas conflict is “on the verge” of being finalized.
His management, which has provided Israel with billions of dollars worth of arms help since the October 7, 2023, problems, is “pressing difficult” to close the deal.
” The deal we have ( … ) would free the hostages, halt the fighting, provide security to Israel, and allow us to significantly surge humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians who suffered terribly in this war that Hamas started”, Biden said.
NATO allies giving their” good share”
The president has assisted in restoring US ties with NATO nations that had strained under Trump over the past four decades.
Partner countries in the NATO military alliance are “paying their good reveal,” according to Biden, a claim that Trump does no support.
” Before I took office, nine NATO allies are spending 2 % of the GDP on defense. Then, 23 are spending 2 %”, he added.
War in Ukraine
After Moscow launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Biden also praised his victory in preventing Russia from a quick invasion of Ukraine.
When Russian President Vladimir Putin “invaded Ukraine, he thought he ( could ) conquer
Kyiv in a matter of weeks. The truth is, since that war began, I’m the only one that stood in the center of Kyiv, never him”, the senator said.
China” does not exceed us.”
The US may continue to be the world’s dominant force, according to the leader.
” According to the latest estimates, on China’s present program they will never exceed us”, said Biden.
He even mentioned his administration’s import regulations on sophisticated computer cards used in artificial intelligence. The new policy may stop the development of sophisticated technology from reaching markets like China.
US army withdrawal from Afghanistan
During Biden’s four times as president, the US withdrew its forces from Afghanistan after 20 years.
Biden described himself as” the first president in a long time who won’t leave an Afghan war to a son.”
The state “got Bin Laden during the Obama-Biden management” and” the main purpose of battle had been accomplished”.
” And I believe that going forward, the key risk of al-Qaida may no longer be emanating from Afghanistan, but from abroad. And thus we not need to stop huge number of American troops in Afghanistan”, he added.
Rejoining Paris climate agreement
The US even reentered the Paris climate agreement during Biden’s administration.
Biden also remarked in his most recent foreign policy statement that Trump’s approaching administration’s climate change opponents are “dead wrong.”
Climate change is” the second greatest existential threat to humanity”, he added.
Biden argued that China has “win” the clean electricity debate.
On January 20, Trump did retake office as US president.
