Joe Biden, the president of the US, has informed Congress of his plans to replace Cuba from the list of state sponsors of violence. The Catholic Church brokered a deal to launch political prisoners in Cuba, according to the White House, and this statement was made at the same time.
By the end of the Biden presidency on January 20, senior US administration officials who spoke under the guise of an anonymous source said that “many lots” of political prisoners and some detained by the US may be freed. Additionally, the US will lessen its grip on Cuba as a result of a 2017 memo from former US President Donald Trump that weakened its position on the island state.
After being removed from the US evil record, Cuba announced that it would release 553 prisoners.
According to a report released by the news agency Associated Press, Marco Rubio will become secretary of state shortly after Trump, the Republican president-elect, takes company. Rubio has long pushed for sanctions against Cuba, whose home left Cuba before the socialist revolution led by Fidel Castro.
In the last weeks of Trump’s first leadership, on January 11, 2021, the White House had reinstated Cuba’s title as a state sponsor of terrorism, citing its help for Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro and refusal to surrender Brazilian rebels, among other problems.
Biden’s leadership has determined that there is” no credible information” that Cuba officially supports global terrorism. Biden’s actions will be reviewed and possibly reversibly by Congress and the incoming Trump presidency.
Representative Carlos Gimenez, a Florida Republican, criticized the walk, saying,” President Biden is a sad fool. A NEW SHERIFF will be in town on January 20th, and President Trump along with SenMarco Rubio may “put# Cuba up on the list and permanently” PULVERIZE the regime!
