With President-elect Donald Trump’s opening less than a week away, DeSantis requested the Florida legislature to join on Jan. 27 to begin supporting the government’s immigration laws. Trump has teased a plan to pursue mass , persecution,  , which is supported by his coming border king, Tom Homan.
You generally say that it’s early for us to work with a new leader coming in after four years of Biden’s incredibly dangerous immigration and boundary policies. Following the president’s office’s news, Republican state home speaker Daniel Perez and Republican senator president Ben Albritton sent a , letter. Both made the argument that a specific session is premature because “it is totally irresponsible to get out before any announcements President Trump will make.”
DeSantis provided a list of possible legislative proposals, including enforcing criminal penalties for improper access, creating an immigration police officer, and mandating conformity with arrests from law enforcement under threat of suspension.
Perez and Albritton made it clear in their note that they would not let a special program to be convened until they could decide” when and what policy we consider.”

In his first time in business, the government claimed to have been aware of the immigration plans that Trump is planning to implement through executive orders. DeSantis recently endorsed Trump as president, but he finally conceded defeat shortly after the primary elections started.
