Stories are flying hot and heavy inside the Circle that Trump’s press team is considering significant, also revolution, changes in the White House lecture room.

Generally, the back row of seats is reserved for the “major” internet outlets, including ABC, CBS, NBC, AP, Reuters, and CNN. That roster is as unbroken as spring storms and as holy as a Cardinals ‘ tenure. &nbsp,

But there’s a new sheriff in town, and instantly, we’re looking at a clean flower and overturning the sacred institution. Trump supporters are considering combining the facts to appeal to another, less biased media outlets.

The White House Correspondent’s Association ( WHCA ) is responsible for the briefing room seating chart. It’s equivalent to declaring war on the lineage press to delegate that responsibility to the WHCA. That might be what Trump’s press group is trying to achieve.

Anyone who has ever attended a press briefing knows that the entire celebration is performance art, investigators talk for five hours about their understanding of the details, and they then ask a press secretary a question about details that the press secretary is unable to respond. It’s a game that neither imparts any details nor facilitates any sort of data transfer between the leader and the people. It’s all for display.

It is crucial to ensuring writers ‘ jobs by giving them face time on television. A witty issue that catches the press secretary off watch, or better still, elicits an angry response, cements the reporter’s standing, and assures his continued work.

The new media minister, Karoline Leavitt, will obviously not have an office in the West Wing of the White House. This reflects a common sluggishness of the traditional media activity. This isn’t surprising given that Donald Trump, for better or worse, is his own hit minister.

Lake stated that” this leadership values variety and clarity in the media.” ” We are committed to making sure that the media area reflects the contemporary panorama of journalism.”

She anticipates a lecture room layout that includes internet characteristics that don’t have a print or TV existence, as well as more independent and non-traditional businesses.

Any alteration to the status quo had likely stifle the WHCA, which is effective. For example, during the COVID crisis, the organization decided only 14 reporters may occupy the presentation room in order to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Of course, some of the stores cut from the chamber were liberal.

That WHCA seats table is all that every national media group has followed up until now. White House writers who fear being left out in the cold have been hysterical about this.

An unidentified White House editor told the Hill,” It would be a complete chaos.” I anticipate that people will likely ban the meetings, but that would force some outlets to decide whether or not to support what the Trump administration is trying to do.

Trump learned the painful lesson the last time he spent in the White House. Finally, he did away entirely with the regular presentation, going more than 300 times without dispatching his media director to answer questions. &nbsp,

Before he bailed, the presentations had turned into posturing sessions by pessimistic reporters trying to make a name for themselves in their distorted bloviating. In addition to Mr. Avila’s theatrics, the hard-left writer Yamiche Alcindor, of NBC News— who says it’s her work to use media to stretch the “moral circle toward justice” — frequently berated Trump’s push liaisons. After a lengthy sabbatical, she is returning to support Trump’s next term.

George H. W. Bush’s hit minister, Ari Fleischer, thinks the media room reform should only be the start.

” It’s time to stop living in the 1980s. Change the person who gets the issues and sits in those tickets. Reorient the concept of information from what the press claims it to be, he wrote. Stop making up stories about good press. They’re no. Trump must alter the status quo and unseat the conventional media if he truly wants to change Washington.

If Trump’s group can accomplish half of that plan, it would be a job well done.
