'Martial law is not a crime': South Korea's impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol after arrest

Yoon Suk Yeol, the dismissed president of South Korea, argued on Wednesday that “martial legislation is not a crime” and that his short passage of military law as a genuine political action.
Yoon took to Facebook to explain his position after being interrogated by researchers regarding rebellion allegations related to his December 3 martial law order, according to Yonhap News Agency.
Sharing a portrait of his written information, Yoon stated,” Martial legislation is not a crime. In order to resolve a national problems, martial law is used as a political exercise of authority.
Yoon, who has been deemed ineligible by the National Assembly on December 14th, claimed that his impeachment was based on a mistaken association between the martial law declaration and the insurrection, calling it” really absurd.”
He further denounced the opponent’s recent departure of the uprising charge during impeachment trials, labelling it” a false senate”.
The text was published while Yoon was being deposed by the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials, who had asked him to give evidence.
One month after his simple declaration of martial law, North Korean authorities detained President Yoon before today. His attorney confirmed that South Korea’s charged President Yoon agreed to look at the office of prosecutors probing him for insurrection after authorities stormed his home to assault him.
About 20 minutes after being detained by researchers at his home in northern Seoul, Yoon arrived at the CIO’s business in Gwacheon, which is located north of Seoul.
The CIO issued a press release stating that the investigation took place in a video-recording room at 11 am.
Authorities confirmed that assistant captain Lee Jae-seung is conducting the questioning, whilst Yoon’s legitimate team remains current.
The CIO has a 48-hour glass to issue Yoon before making a decision to pursue his arrest, which is widely anticipated after the interrogation is over.
The broad questioning, supported by more than 200 pages of organized inquiries, is anticipated to center on validating important allegations regarding the fruitless military law implementation, encompassing both the planning phases and the real execution.
The CIO’s research into Yoon involves possible charges including rebellion, abuse of power and more crimes.
