President-elect Donald Trump revealed ideas on Thursday to produce an” External Revenue Service” to obtain profit, taxes, and jobs from other countries.
Trump stated in a statement on Truth Social on Tuesday that” for far too long, we have relied on the Internal Revenue Service ( IRS ) to tax our Great People.” Through gentle and painfully weak Trade contracts, the American Economy has delivered growth and prosperity to the World,  , while taxing ourselves”.
” It is time for that to change”, Trump added. ” To gather our Tariffs, Duties, and all Revenue that comes from European sources, I am currently announcing that I may establish the EXTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE.”
Trump claimed that the United States would “FINALLY” power nations that “make money off of us with trade” to commence paying” their good share” by creating the External Revenue Service.
” January 20, 2025, will be the delivery time of the External Income Service”, Trump wrote. “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN”!

The president-elect’s announcement at a press conference in Mar-A-Lago last year resulted in” large taxes” being put in place against Canada and Mexico if neither country stops the unprecedented rise in drug trafficking and illegal immigration along the country’s southern and northern borders.
Trump’s administration previously suggested that it could impose tariffs of 10 % to 20 % on all imported goods and of 60 % or more on imported products from China, according to Fox Business. Additionally, the president-elect has threatened to impose a 20 % tax on all imported products from Canada and Mexico.
According to The New York Post, the Department of Homeland Security is currently in charge of collecting taxes, which is a function of the United States Customs and Border Protection. The store noted that unless Trump establishes the External Revenue Service as a division within an existing national organization, the creation of an additional revenue services might need support from Congress.
Following Trump’s statement about the design of the External Revenue Service on Tuesday, EJ Antoni, an analyst with the Heritage Foundation, told The New York Post,” I really, really like this idea”.
Something that steers us apart from income taxes and toward taxes, according to Antoni, is a fantastic idea.
