Neil Gaiman‘s ex-wife Amanda Palmer has broken her silence as she has been receiving a lot of flak for being an ‘enabler’ of Neil Gaiman’s sexual misconduct. On her Instagram account, the American singer sought privacy while a representative for Palmer said she is “profoundly disturbed” by the allegations.

” While Ms. Palmer is profoundly disturbed by the allegations that Mr. Gaiman has abused several women, at this time her main concern is, and must be, the well-being of her brother and therefore, to protect his protection, she has no opinion on these allegations”, a representative for the musician told music publication NME in a statement.
NME also reported that, in email to its request for comment after the most recent allegations against the creator of The Sandman in New York Magazine, a consultant for Palmer said that she is “profoundly disturbed” by the allegations, but that “at this time her main concern is, and must be, the wellbeing of her son and so, to shield his privacy, she has no comment on these allegations”.
For a report for New York Magazine, eight women described their agonizing experience of sexual assault perpetrated by Neil Gaiman. Gaiman denied any wrongdoing and claimed he never had sexual relations with anyone without consent.
After dating Neil Gaiman in 2009, Palmer and Gaiman met in 2008, and they started dating. They got married in 2011. In 2020, their relationship erupted, and they reconciled in 2021 before filing for divorce once more. Their union reportedly was an open union.
According to a report from the New York Magazine, Palmer’s friends claimed that Palmer requested divorce because a woman claimed Rachel was still having sex with Gaiman, which she had long ended. Palmer became aware of numerous other allegations that demonstrated that she was aware of Neil Gaiman’s actions.
