Prior to President-elect Donald Trump’s resumption of the White House, the Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI ) confirmed on Thursday that the agency had shut down its Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
In a statement to Fox News, the FBI said,” In recent weeks, the FBI took steps to close the Office of Diversity and Inclusion ( ODI), effective by December 2024″. The FBI confirmed that the Office of Diversity and Inclusion had been shut down, but it did not explain why.
The FBI’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s closure, according to The Daily Wire, comes as the president-elect and the head of the incoming administration have pledged to end all policies and initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion ( DEI ) in the federal government.
In a Thursday post on Truth Social, Trump wrote,” We demand that the FBI protect and keep all records, papers, and details on the now closing DEI Office—Never should have been opened and, if it was, should include closed longer ago”.

After the FBI made it clear that its Office of Diversity and Inclusion would be closing on Thursday, Blackburn wrote,” The problem was why they were allowed to remain focused on La in the first place. The Republican senator argued that the FBI should concentrate on” catching thieves” rather than “winning membership trophies.”
Despite the final of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the FBI also listed the business on the company’s site as of Thursday. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion’s goal stated on the website that it was “provide direction and adopt programs that promote a diverse and inclusive work that allows all employees to thrive and improve.”
