Sai Varshith Kandula, an Indian national, made headlines after receiving an eight-year jail sentence for attempting to attack the White House with a rented vehicle on May 22, 2023. The US government was toppled by Kandula, according to the Department of Justice, and a tyranny was built in the style of Nazi ideology.
First life and history
Born in Chandanagar, India, Kandula was a lawful permanent resident of the United States with a clean cards.

The attack on the White House
On May 22, 2023, Kandula flew from St. Louis to Washington, DC, on a one-way solution. After landing at Dulles International Airport, he rented a vehicle at 6: 30 am, stopped for meals and oil, and drove towards the White House.
At 9: 35 am, Kandula crashed the occupied vehicle into barriers protecting the White House at the crossroads of H Street and 16th Street, Northwest. The effect sent commuters scrambling. After reversing and striking the obstacles a next time, the vehicle was impaired, leaking fluids and cigarettes.
Before being detained by US Park Police and Secret Service soldiers, Kandula then jumped out of the car, grabbed a Nazi Swastika symbol from his suitcase, and brandished it.
Cause and philosophy
Kandula allegedly intended to capture political strength by entering the White House, according to the Department of Justice. He acknowledged that he had planned the murder of the US President and others to further his goal of establishing a dictator.
According to federal prosecutors,” Kandula’s intention was to replace the democratically elected government with a dictatorship fueled by the ideology of Nazi Germany and for himself to be in charge of the United States.”
Weeks of planning
Kandula had the assault properly planned out. On April 22, 2023, he requested 25 armed soldiers and an armoured fleet from a Virginia-based security firm. He made an attempt to hire a big truck from several businesses on May 4. Despite these attempts, his ideas failed, leading him to book a smaller U-Haul trailer for the assault.
Sentencing and destruction
Kandula was required to serve three years of supervised release in addition to the eight-year jail sentence. His activities caused$ 4, 322 in injury to the National Park Service, including upgrades to restrictions, spill cleanup, and removal of liquid from the vehicle.
