Zagreb: Josip Dabro, a leading part of the country’s anti-immigration movement, resigned on Saturday following a video showing him shooting at random from a moving vehicle.
The event is the most recent controversy surrounding the conservative prime minister’s state, whose health minister, Vili Bros, was fired in November in response to a corruption investigation.

” I therefore submit my irreversible departure”, Dabro posted on Twitter.
The 42-year-old was even agriculture minister in Plenkovic’s state.
He is seen singing to quiet music in the passenger seats of a moving automobile, firing a revolver into the darker in the video, which was made public by the regular Jutarnji List earlier this week.

In his departure speech, he wrote,” I am aware that these conditions add a burden on the government and my group.”
” My personal situation should not detract from the government’s and ministry’s interests” or put off needed reforms.
He said he had sought to implement” changes” within the farming, forestry and fishing ministry to introduce greater” transparency” and had been subject to” significant pressures and threats”.
Dabro claimed it had been filmed several years ago and that he had been firing education bullets in his first public response to the picture on Friday nights, according to Hina media company.
The video appears to have been shot in the summer.
The government claimed on Friday nights that his behavior had been “inappropriate and careless.”
Plenkovic’s HDZ group formed a coalition government in May 2024 with Dabro’s Homeland Movement, which holds republican, anti-immigration and anti-LGBT opinions and activists banning abortion.
