US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, made a point on Sunday when he cited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joe Biden’s work as proof that US-Indian relationships have grown to new heights.
Garcetti and his family on Sunday met PM Modi and said that the two leaders have achieved record-breaking milestones in different areas, including permits, business, military engagement, place assistance, student exchanges, and investments.
Garcetti wrote in a sincere post on X,” Had a fantastic last visit with PM Modi with my home. It’s obvious that he and President Biden have raised our powerful and significant US-India collaboration to new heights–record visa, document industry, record defence collaboration, record space cooperation, record students, record investments and so much more”.
Garcetti thanked Prime Minister Modi and the Indian people for their comfortable welcome during his most recent attend. He emphasized that the US-India relationship has grown in importance and will continue to strengthen in the coming decades.
What was thought to be impossible a century ago may now appear to be unavoidable thanks to the efforts of these leaders and the citizens of our countries. Bless you, Prime Minister, and all of India. It’s been a normal pleasure to assist co-write this book with you”, he added.
Garcetti said that the US is expanding its presence in India and that it is not a novel appearance of the US in India.
” We are no establishing a fresh presence here. We are expanding our presence in Karnataka, which is a responsibility that America makes to this incredible state and city as well. And bless you to all of our noble nobles”, he said.
The US Ambassador also highlighted the rich past of US-India relationships, dating back to 1776 when the US opened its second-ever embassy in Kolkata, India. He noted that the US Consulate office’s new opening in Bengaluru represents a new beginning rather than an enlargement of the US presence in India.
” We’ve been talking about this for a long, long time, right? Collectively, we work together to ensure that this initial plant produces a flower that will last for a long time. You are aware that our marriage in India is certainly brand-new. Many Americans are unaware that our next consul in the world was located in India, and very few Indians are aware of this. We opened a embassy in Lyon, France second in 1776, and the second one in Kolkata, demonstrating the significance of India to a new American nation. Since next, we have expanded to 5 articles, 7 if you add our business practices, including those in Ahmedabad, and this is the second-largest vision of the United States anywhere in the world. It has the second-highest number of visas and kids. We’re breaking records every single month, record employees, report permits, record students, report martial exercises, record engagement from the ground to space”, he said.
