In an unexpected turn of events early Sunday morning, a beautiful yacht reportedly rented by famous hip-hop manufacturer Metro Boomin erupted in lights while docked outside one of Miami’s most popular strip clubs. The dramatic landscape unfolded around 3 am at Booby Trap on the River, a famous mature entertainment venue, reported New York Post.
The 95-foot vehicle, which had just arrived at the team, was merely docked for about 30 minutes when the fire alarm sounded. Staff at the pub, including director of safety Michael Marhefka, immediately noticed smoke rising from the ship. ” We saw smoking inside the ship, and we knew we had to work hard,” Marhefka said. Within moments, about 10 people aboard, including Metro Boomin and five team people, were evacuated to health.
When the team was carefully off the yacht, the flames intensified quickly. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue was called to the scene at around 4 a. m. , with more than 30 models — both on land and in ocean — working collectively to fight the blazing fire.
The flames proved difficult to control due to the yacht’s size and energy pile, causing an enormous spectacle that drew a crowd of onlookers. Testimony described the flames as large and alarming. One unnamed witness told NBC 6,” It was surprising. I’ve never seen anything like this. ” Another added,” It was terrible, especially with the size of the fireplace. “
As the lights continued to spread, the sailboat finally sank into the Miami River. Luckily, no injuries were reported. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue after deployed specific tools to mitigate any potential environmental harm from the blaze, including an oil-absorbent growth to reduce fuel runoff.
An investigation is now live to determine the cause of the incident.
Metro Boomin, known for his classic collaborations with artists like The Weeknd, Future, and Travis Scott, has yet to post publicly on the event. But, the fire has sparked interest across cultural media, where viewers and visitors are also processing the disturbing picture.
