The wheels of justice are turning again as Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE ) has resumed its enforcement of immigration laws with vigor.
Tom Homan, the original ICE acting director and then Trump’s border king, told Fox News ’ John Roberts on Tuesday that ICE attacks have already begun.

“Based on your original plan that now, confiscations of fugitive, illegal aliens in the process of deporting them had started, ” Roberts began. “It seems to have been put on hold for a little while. When may we believe that to happen? Where will it started? ”
“No, it started, ” Homan clarified. “All these clubs are out there as of today. We gave them the way to promote public health risks that we’re looking for. But we’ve been working on the specific list. ”
ROBERTS:” Large up of legal illegal aliens and the process of reporting them had start… . When may we believe that to happen? “

Homan even appeared on CNN to talk about the work to arrest laborers and told CNN’s Dana Bash that after decades of being crippled, ICE officers are up to doing their work.
“ICE is out there enforcing the law now, ” Homan said. He emphasized that their main focus is on common health risks. “That may be our objective right out of the gate. ”
Homan made it clear that these activities are anything but strange. “ I would n’t call them raids, ” he said. “They’re targeted police activities. They know precisely who they’re looking for… These are well-planned activities. They’re well-investigated. ”
While he did n’t show particular spots, citing agent health concerns, he confirmed, “This happens throughout the country. ”

When pressed on who ICE is targeting, Homan did n’t meat words: “It’s people in the country illegally who have a legal conviction, that makes them a public health threat—that’s our goal. ” ICE officials, he explained, depend on thorough investigative work. They track people on the non-detained case — those who fail to show up in judge, offend imprisonment requests, or have been involved in violent acts.
But Homan even highlighted a major problem that these sanctuary cities pose. In these areas, local prison refuse to cooperate with ICE, forcing officials to track down dangerous people in neighborhoods instead of the safer borders of a prison.
“It’s safer for the community, safer for the officers, and safer for the alien, ” Homan explained. “ But when you release a public health risk from a shelter prisons and won’t give us access to them, that means we’ve got to go to the area to get them — and we will consider them. ”
Of course, Homan did n’t shy away from addressing the reality that non-criminal laborers may getting arrested and deported as well. “ When we find them, they may be with people, people who don’t have a criminal conviction but are in the state illegally. They will be arrested too, ” he confirmed.
“ICE is going to maintain the emigration rules, ” he said. “There’s nothing in the Immigration and Nationality Act that says you ’ve got to get convicted of a serious offense to be removed from this region. ”

Bash was less than thrilled about this.
“Let me just make sure I understand what you’re saying, ” she said. “At initially, you said the first goals are those with legal documents, but you’re also saying that those who are undocumented in the U. S. — who don’t have legal data, people who are working in their neighborhoods, probably also have families who are American citizens — they could be swept up with ICE now as well. ”
Homan made no apologies for this.
“ What I’m telling you is, when we go find our priority target, which is a criminal alien, if he’s with others in the United States illegally, we’re going to take enforcement action against them, ” he said. “We’re going to enforce the immigration law. ”

Homan’s message is clear: ICE is back in business, and the agency is finally able to do the job it was meant to do. For those concerned about law and order, it ’s a long-overdue shift in priorities. The days of turning a blind eye to illegal immigration are over.
