Only hours into his second name, President Donald Trump issued a full pardon for Ross Ulbricht, the father of Silk Road, a “dark web” platform that allowed users to buy and sell products and services privately.
“ I just called the mother of Ross William Ulbricht to let her know that in honor of her and the Libertarian Movement, which supported me so strongly, it was my pleasure to have just signed a full and unconditional pardon of her son, Ross, ” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. “The filth that worked to indict him were some of the same maniacs who were involved in the present day weaponization of state against me. He was given two life sentences, plus 40 times. Ridiculous! ”
Trump promised to forgive Ulbricht during his historic strategy last year.
