Democratic strategist James Carville pushed back against the possibility of former President Joe Biden having a future in the Democratic Party, saying “the party ’s moving on ” from him.

“Look, you had a commendable job. Your next act was awful, ” Carville said on the Elections War Room podcast. “ Just get out of the way. The group ’s moving on. I mean, they’re genuinely moving on! And it ’s very unfortunate, but that ’s just where we are, and he created this himself. Nothing to blame but himself, anyone. ”

Carville also said the desire to no more have Trump involved in the group ’s coming is not because “we’re poor individuals” but rather because “it was all his doing. ” The strategist also slammed the “petty ” claims that Biden could have beaten President Donald Trump, stating, “No one f***ing believes that at all. ”

Al Hunt, Carville’s co-host of the radio, suggested that Biden needs to “go away ” and raise funds for a national collection in a position such as Delaware, adding that the former president “really has no role to play ” on a national level going ahead. Carville finally suggested that any function Biden does attempt to play may be “a adverse part, ” to which Hunt agreed.
While Biden’s political future is now mysterious, Vice President Kamala Harris‘s may see either a presidential run in California’s 2026 vote or another political work in 2028. Democratic strategist Jim Manley encouraged Harris to first learn from her past political mistakes, including how “poorly ” her first presidential bid in 2020 went.
