A North Carolina person fatally shot his wife and confessed to the crime in a chilling Instagram post before shooting himself dying, New York Post reports.
The event has garnered interest due to a now-deleted Instagram post in which George admitted to the shooting. Writing in the ADAS Support group —a forum for technicians specialising in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems —he said, “My wife admitted to cheating on me so I killed her, I’m about to kill myself. ” He likewise urged team members to determine the platform’s coming without him.
According to the Fuquay-Varina officers office, 63-year-old George Lesniak killed his wife, Cathleen Lesniak, 59, in their five-bedroom house just after 6 pm on January 18. He finally died of a “self-inflicted catastrophic damage. ”
The tragic events unfolded in the Lesniak mansion in Fuquay-Varina, 18 km west of Raleigh.
The article was apparently published at 6 pm, only three hours before police were called to the property on Highwater Place.
Police are treating the case as a murder-suicide, though the investigation is ongoing due to the “complex character ” of the event. Authorities reassured the people there was no continuous danger and called for the area to keep the family in their views.
George and Cathleen Lesniak had been married for over 34 times. Cathleen, a professional production director, worked with Advance Auto Parts, while George, an Illinois indigenous and student of Lincoln Technical Institute, had most just served as the vice president of education at New York-based Autel Automotive Intelligence USA. He had worked electronically with the business for over five years before leaving in September 2024.
Autel Automotive expressed its grief over the drama, stating, “We are profoundly saddened by the horrible events that occurred at the Lesniak home on January 18. We at Autel express our heartfelt apologies to the Lesniak family and friends. ”
“This affair is seriously tragic, and we urge the area to keep the family in their feelings during this difficult time, ” authorities said.
