Maybe there’s a path to peace that’s but easy, so beautiful, that you wonder why it took until today for someone with the energy to do something about it to do something about it.

The United Arab Emirates has entered the serenity chat.
The insurmountable difficulty with the Palestinians is that neighboring Arab state can’t manage to let them in and the Israelis don’t want to reduce their hearts running a permanent employment, but time and time again they’ve proven they can’t be trusted to act themselves.
The little nation of Jordan, usually peaceful and fairly manage, let in thousands of Palestinian refugees after the 1948 battle, and thousands more after the 1967 war. For his compassion, King Hussein had to throw down the Black September attempt by Yassar Arafat’s PLO to oust him and take over the country.
Syria kept tighter control over its Arab immigrants but also found them many difficult. Hamas takes its name from the town of Hama, which Assad père turned to dust in 1982 as his heavy-handed alternative to Syria’s Arab problem.
Those polite Muslim laws of hospitality just apply to the guests, I suppose, because the Palestinians have never been well-behaved customers. Â
When Egypt was offered Gaza back ( they’d ruled it from 1948-1967 ) as part of the 1979 Camp David Accords, Egyptian leader Anwar Sadat said,” What, you think we’re schmucks? “
So the issue now in Gaza is that the location needs to be rebuilt but A) Hamas can’t be trusted to do it and B) Israel doesn’t want to do it.

Today’s great news is that the United Arab Emirates and Israel have “reached an arrangement in theory on Wednesday on how to handle the Gaza Strip in the weeks following the war,” according to a report immediately in Israel Hayom. Â
The UAE is “willing to create the Strip in such a way that it does not represent a threat to Israel. The Emirates leads the Arab earth in opposition to war and the use of Islam for aggressive functions, and is ready to foster these ideals. “
Furthermore,” Steve Witkoff, Trump’s envoy to the Middle East and the one who brought about the closing of the agreement to release the hostages, is expected to arrive in Israel in the coming days,” presumably to help broker the details and ( perhaps ) get the Gazans on board.
If I had to describe Abu Dhabi’s management, it would be” Trump-style swanky, but with clothes and oil money instead of matches and a TV show. And the complexions are probably real. ” Given the chance, the Emirates would turn Gaza into the” Paris of the East” that Damascus was 60 years ago — gambling, booze, whoring, and plenty of money thrown around to keep everybody happy.
But there’s always a wash.
In this case, before the program may be initiated, Abu Dhabi insists that “it is no Israel that may start the next step, but the Palestinians themselves. “

If Hamas issues the request, it will come with problems rendering the anti-terror procedures moot — and the Emirates may be fools to take it. State what you will about the Emirates, but they are one’s fools. So how would this request did work in practice? A ballot? A election? How to maintain that either may be legitimate, especially in the eye of the Gazan Arabs?
There is a possible out. Israel’s Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer “hinted in the Knesset,” as the Hayom statement put it, that” National or international funding was also kick-start the procedure. ” Now that the U. S. has a strong chief executive once again, the Gazans might just have to acquiesce to UAE overlordship. In time, maybe they’ll come to enjoy peace and prosperity more than they do murdering Jews.
