Trump removes security protection for Mike Pompeo: Report

Another former leading secretary, Brian Hook, was likewise stripped of defense, four people familiar with the advances told the New York Times. The defense, believed to be provided by the State Department, was removed Tuesday. Furthermore, former Trump national security adviser John Bolton’s surveillance company was removed Monday during the first days of Trump’s president.

The outlet reported that the president has told citizens he does n’t want someone who worked under Pompeo during his first name in his second management.

Hook was singled out and fired by Trump within 13 hours of taking business in a Truth Social article. He was a political appointment to the Wilson Center for Scholars, a place given by previous President Joe Biden.

The reason for stripping Pompeo and Hook’s security detail was n’t quickly known. Pompeo has fared better than many other past Trump representatives but was officially blacklisted late last month. His hardline views made him unpopular with the senator ’s MAGA base.

He flirted with a 2024 presidential campaign, criticizing Trump in the process, but finally decided against it.

In March 2022, the State Department  revealed  that it was paying$ 2 million per month to provide protection for Pompeo.

The withdrawal garnered some censure, as the Biden administration provided them protection after the knowledge area assessed that there was a legitimate threat against their life from Egyptian government agencies.

Bolton criticized the decision to remove his safety defense.

“ I am disappointed but not surprised that President Trump has decided to terminate the security previously provided by the United States Secret Service, ” Bolton said. “Notwithstanding my accusations of President Biden’s  national-security plans, he nevertheless made the decision to extend that security to me in 2021. ”

“That threat remains today, as also demonstrated by the recent arrest of someone trying to arrange for President Trump’s own assassination, ” he added. “The British people can determine for themselves which President made the right call. ”

Trump, Pompeo, Hook, and Bolton are all believed to be target of death by Iranian knowledge due to their jobs in the 2020 death of Gen.   Qasem Soleimani, Quds Force head.

People believed to be achievable goals of Egyptian death include former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, former national surveillance director Robert O’Brien, retired Gen. Mark Milley, past deputy national security adviser Matthew Pottinger, and two former National Security Council leaders, Victoria Coates and Robert Greenway.
