WASHINGTON, D. C. – The 52nd yearly March for Life brought up colleges, high schools, communities, politicians, and more to the center of Washington D. C. to once again flood the streets in support of the pro-life activity.
The Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade and declared that the Constitution does not grant individuals the right to an abortion. This is the next protest.
Students from across the nation traveled to D. C. for the March now, including a team from Franciscan University of Steubenville.
” It’s been part of the vision and the government of Franciscan University to be able to help existence”, Dave Pivonka, the president of Franciscan, told The College Fix, during a telephone meeting. Pivonka, who is also a Catholic priest, said around 700 pupils came from the Ohio Catholic college.
” It’s a true sacrifice”, Pivonka said, about traveling immediately to warm Washington, D. C on a bus ride.
” It’s a wonderful, wonderful opportunity”, he said, referencing the “vitality of the younger people” coming up to oppose pregnancy. Pivonka described the March for Life as “always truly proud” of all the individuals who showed up.
Archbishop Joseph Naumann of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City prayed before the pre-march protest.
Jeanne Mancini, the outgoing president of March for Life, addressed the march about the importance of pregnancy resource centers and the defense of all animal life. Jennie Lichter, the approaching president of March for Life, even spoke.
Different speakers included Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Vice President JD Vance, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Additionally, the Wheaton College chairman of Voice for Life made an address. The Illinois school’s pro-life party was picked to guide the March for Life. Hannah Lape remarked,” We will march until every baby is protected by national legislation, until pregnancy is a myth, and every female person receives exceptional prenatal care.”
She even called it a “human right issue” and called for protecting the preborn.

Miguel Pilar, a Turning Point Action agent, stated to The Fix that it is “very crucial that we are here now to stand up for life.”
Commenting on the presence of young persons at the march, Isabel said it is” but important”.
” GenZ’ers …]is ] becoming the largest voting bloc”, the Michigan native told The Fix during an in-person interview.
” A lot of younger people will get inspired”, this month said Pilar, who shared it is his first March for Life.
Although the March for Life took place in the cold, the young pro-lifers were no stoked by the warm.
Thousands of students, both high school and college, came to support the action.
” It means a lot for quite a great showing and hear for career in D. C. every time”, Vincent Russel, co-leader of Franciscan’s team said. ” Fresh people, kids in high school, and people all across America need to demonstrate that they are serious about this,” said the statement.
