The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s military aircraft, announced the titles of four Israeli hostages it intends to launch on Friday as part of the continuous ceasefire agreement with Gaza.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office confirmed receiving the list through negotiators.
The peace deal, now in its seventh day, includes the steady release of 33 Jewish hostages, mostly women, children, and older civilians, in exchange for hundreds of Arab prisoners held by Israel. Three victims have been freed thus far, and four more are scheduled to be released on Saturday for hostage release.
Hamas has pledged to release all female warriors who are still alive during Phase 1. Female soldiers are not expected to be in this stage, and bodies may be returned if the hostages ‘ bodies are inadequate.
The 94 victims ‘ people are still being held in Gaza, and they have urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to move quickly in that direction. They also have urged former US President Donald Trump to continue promoting their resumption.
The media company AP quoted Vicky Cohen, whose child is still in prison, as “our hearts break thinking of those left behind.” ” Stopping the deal means a death sentence for those still detained,” Cohen continued.
For citizens in Gaza, the peace has brought restricted relief. Although some displaced people are unsure about the state of their houses in the war-torn place, movement between northern and southern Gaza is scheduled to begin on Saturday.
One displaced family told AP,” We’ll go see my children’s papa,” and she had mixed feelings about being back in Gaza City.
