Last Friday, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida announced that Matthew A. Inman, the party’s manager for Orange County, had been detained and accused of transporting child sex abuse stuff.
If found guilty of transporting child sex abuse stuff, Inman, 39, is currently facing a minimum of 5 times and a maximum of 20 years in federal prison, according to a media release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.
The 39-year-old Democratic treasurer was informed in a press release that he had saved several videos of child sexual abuse material ( CSAM ) to his phone between August and October of that year. Authorities from law enforcement confirmed that the video contained “adults biologically assaulting fresh children.”
Inman traveled to Las Vegas in October of 2024 and began speaking with an undercover law enforcement agent who posed as the parents of a 9-year-old female slight, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida.

” During this dialogue, Inman expressed interest in meeting and sexually assaulting the alleged child”, the media release stated. He even sent CSAM video to the covert agent.
After obtaining a search warrant for the Democratic treasurer’s residence and electronic devices, the Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI ) executed a search of Inman’s house. According to the media discharge, Inman attempted to elude detection on his phone and attempt to hide in the roof of his home during the search.
Inman served as the president of the Orange County Rainbow Democrats LGBTQ party, has criticised President Donald Trump on social media, and has advocated for transsexuals, according to The Post Millennial.

The Orange County Democratic Party posted a statement on Twitter in response to the allegations against Inman, saying:” We are profoundly appalled and horrified by the announcement that Matthew Inman has been arrested on charges of sexual abuse involving a minor. We categorically oppose child sexual abuse, and we apologise in the strongest possible terms to all subjects.
The Orange County Democratic Party continued,” The Orange County Democratic Party immediately removed Mr. Inman from all deliberate roles and responsibilities after learning of the claims against him.”
