Jack Schlossberg, the nephew of President John F Kennedy, slammed the recently elected US President Donald Trump’s determination to disclose records about his father’s death, calling it politically inspired.
The 32-year-old took to social media platform X, saying,” The truth is a bit sadder than the story — a drama that didn’t want to happen. Not a component of an unavoidable great plan. He added,” Declassification is using JFK as a social ball, when he’s not around to bite back. There’s nothing courageous about it”.
On Thursday, Trump signed an executive order allowing the transfer of documents relating to the killings of Martin Luther King Jr., his nephew Robert F. Kennedy, and John F. Kennedy. Within 15 times, programs for the transfer of JFK’s death records may be made, according to the Daily Mail.
Trump had promised to disclose the files during his re-election plan, but some documents were kept secret for intelligence purposes during his first term. The professional order is intended to increase transparency, with the management claiming it is “in the public interest”.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris ‘ plan received a steadfast support from Schlossberg. He even criticised other household members, including his niece Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and expressed strong criticism of Trump’s activities.
Schlossberg also criticized Trump’s choice of RFK Jr. to direct the department’s wellbeing and human services.
Millions of pages of Jefferson files have been released, but some documents are also classified. Prior to the assassination, Lee Harvey Oswald made visits to the Caribbean and Russian embassies in Mexico City, according to CIA cables and memos. But, experts are unsure whether the remaining files will reveal everything that alters the popular narrative.
Despite numerous conspiracy theories, the majority of people think the documents didn’t show something new. Trump said the transfer is for the government’s profit, claiming,” Everything will be revealed”. But, Schlossberg thinks it’s an effort to use the past for political gain.
As X people began to question Schlossberg about his own investigation into the files, and whether or not he had even the right to make a comment on the revocation, he received backlash for his post. In response, Schlossberg reacted by saying,” I know everything, d**k”.
John F Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, while riding in a parade through Dealey Plaza.
