Department cancels$ 2.6 million in La arrangements, removes over 200 web sites
President Trump’s Department of Education dismantled its richness, capital, and inclusion methods and removed its relevant team this week.
The Department removed or archived lots of advice files, reports, and training materials that mention DEI from its outward facing communication channels, according to a Thursday media discharge from the ministry.
According to the news release, the office terminated “ongoing DEI training and service agreements that entire over$ 2.6 million” while leading DEI initiatives were given paid administrative leave.
Additionally, two authorities were established to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace.  ,
Additionally, the Department of Education will remove over 200 web pages from its website that “incentivized schools and institutions of higher education to market or accept dangerous intellectual plans.”
The Department will continue to conduct a thorough analysis of all company programs and services to identify further initiatives and working groups that may be advancing a controversial La agenda, including those that use clocked or inaccurate speech to conceal their activities, according to the media release.
The decision aligns with President Trump’s Monday executive order titled” Ending Radical And Wasteful Government DEI Programs And Preferencing”, which requires agencies to eliminate DEI-related offices, positions, and initiatives within 60 days.
The Education Department also announced its new senior appointees this week, including Rachel Oglesby, Jonathan Pidluzny, and Chase Forrester, all of whom previously served at the America First Policy Institute, according to a Thursday news release.
Additionally, President Trump appointed attorney Peter Kirsanow, a vocal critic of affirmative action in higher education, to chair the U. S. Commission on Civil Rights,  , The College Fix previously reported.
Kirsanow has recently voiced her strong opposition to racial-based segregation or excluding students from university.
In an executive order signed on Tuesday, Trump gave the Departments of Justice and Education the task of ending affirmative action in grades K through 20 to further combat racial discrimination.
The order directs the DOJ and the Secretary of Education to make sure that all schools follow the Supreme Court ruling from the 2023 Students for Fair Admissions, which prohibited affirmative action in higher education.
