As the Trump administration intensifies its assault on the southern border, the Defense Department is beginning to return unlawful immigrants using military-cargo aircraft.

According to a Department of Homeland Security official with access to the press who spoke with the internet, the first defense trip of this nature left El Paso, Texas, on Thursday night, departing from Biggs Army Airfield and heading for Guatemala with about 80 Guatemalan immigrants on table.

The official stated that the upcoming martial repatriation flights are for people who were detained at the southern border and not within the country, where U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will individually hold out President Donald Trump’s massive deportation operation.

Some of the 5, 400 illegal immigrants border officers anticipate sending south of the border on military aviation in the coming weeks under Trump’s course are the first 80 people on the cargo planes.

The C-17 military transport aircraft departed El Paso at 5 p. m. local time Thursday, with future Pentagon repatriation flights also planned out of a base in San Diego, California.

In addition to the 13 leased aircraft that ICE regularly uses for repatriation and deportation, there are also the military flights.

Robert Salesses, the acting secretary of defense, stated in a statement on Wednesday that the military would assist with the border border clearance and construction of barriers.

” The Department will provide military airlift to support DHS deportation flights of more than 5, 000 illegal aliens from the San Diego, California, and El Paso, Texas, sectors detained by Customs and Border Protection”, Salesses said.

Following Trump’s declaration of a national emergency at the border on Monday, the Pentagon has directed military personnel to both El Paso and San Diego.

Border Patrol agents in El Paso detained 451 illegal immigrants between Monday and Wednesday, a small number in comparison to the countless others detained daily there during the Biden administration.

On Monday, Trump approved more than a dozen executive orders on border security and immigration, including one that stated that it would be” suspension of the physical entry of aliens involved in an invasion into the United States across the southern border until I determine that the invasion has concluded.”

One of the most prominent nationalities encountered by Border Patrol agents in the El Paso Sector, which includes the western region of Texas and New Mexico in general, is Guatemalans.

Illegal immigrants pay Mexican cartels thousands of dollars per person to cross the U.S. border in exchange for their services.
