Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, is prepared to meet with US President Donald Trump, but he needs” signs” from Washington, the Kremlin reported on Friday.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told investigators,” Putin is available. We are waiting for alerts”, from the US. He also refuted Trump’s say that lowering the price of Russian oil would help to end the conflict in Ukraine, saying that” this fight does not focus on fuel rates.”
Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, and the recently elected US senator, both declared interest in resolving the Ukraine conflict.
During a debate at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday, Trump suggested that lowering global crude prices may end the war, saying,” If the rate came along, the Russia-Ukraine war would end soon”.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov dismissed this state, asserting,” This fight does not rely on oil costs”. He explained that the condition is driven by” challenges to Russia’s nationwide protection”,” threats to Russians living in Ukraine”, and” the lack of desire and full rejection of Americans and Europeans to listen to Russia’s issues”.
When asked about a possible meeting between the two rulers, Peskov declined to give details, remarking that it was “hard to read espresso grounds” to predict the future.
Trump made the warning about potential additional sanctions against Russia if Putin doesn’t negotiate an end to the Ukrainian war after making it on Wednesday. In a post on X, Trump wrote,” I’m not looking to harm Russia. I have great respect for the Russian people and have always maintained a good relationship with President Putin, despite the Radical Left’s ‘ Russia, Russia, Russia ‘ hoax. Russia, who fought in World War II and sacrificed nearly 60 million lives, is also important to keep in mind. Having said that, I want to do President Putin and Russia a significant favor. End this conflict right away; this pointless conflict will only get worse.
Trump added,” If we don’t make a’ deal,’ and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries. Let’s get this war, which never would have started if I were President, over with! We can do it the easy way, or the hard way—and the easy way is always better. It’s time to ‘ MAKE A DEAL.’ NO LOST LIVES SHOULD BE LOST! “!
The Kremlin expressed interest in restarting nuclear disarmament talks with Trump’s administration, which had been postponed as a result of tensions over the Ukraine conflict. We are interested in attempting to start this negotiation process as soon as possible, Petskov declared. The ball is in the Americans ‘ court, who have stopped all substantive contacts”.
