In a recent speech in Las Vegas, US President Donald Trump stated that, in the wake of the hiring ice, he is considering employing roughly 90,000 just hired IRS agents for borders tasks in the South.
At his address at the Circa Resort & Casino, the Republican even made the announcement that there was the possibility of firing those who had jobs funded by the$ 72 billion Inflation Reduction Act.
” They hired, or tried to hire, 88, 000 personnel to go after you and we’re in the process of developing a plan to either terminate all of them, or maybe we’ll move them to the border”, he said.
” I believe we will move them to a frontier where they are permitted to carry weapons,” he said. You know, they’re but strong on guns. However, these individuals are permitted to carry firearms. So we will likely move them to the border”, he added. The 78-year-old began his second phrase by issuing numerous professional directives, including a national work ice. This ice, but, maintains deductions for jobs involving national security, public health, and military services.
The temporary 90-day employment suspension will affect all federal departments, excluding the IRS, suspending recruitment until Trump’s administration, including the newly-formed Department of Government Efficiency ( DOGE ), ascertains the national necessity for additional personnel.
Trump, who declared a national crisis along the US-Mexico borders, intends to create an additional revenue office tasked with collecting all global revenue, including tariffs.
He has repeatedly warned against imposing tariffs on foreign countries that do not comply with his immigration policies, especially those that apply to Mexico and Canada, whose proposed 25 % tariffs are scheduled for February 1.
Additionally, he has announced plans for a 10 % to 20 % levy on all international products, while Chinese imports could face tariffs up to 60 %.
