In his first meeting since taking the oath of office, Vice President JD Vance defended President Donald Trump’s launching techniques.
Below are five restaurants from the meeting:
Patience in lowering costs
Brennan pressed Vance about how the Trump administration had lower food prices, a key promises made by the GOP leadership’s election plan. Vance argued that lowering costs wasn’t a simple task, as Trump” can’t remove all of the destruction of Joe Biden’s administration in four weeks”.
” There have been a number of professional purchases that have caused, now, jobs to start coming up into our country, which is a key component of lowering costs. More capital investment, more job creation in our business, is one of the stuff that’s going to drive down prices for all users, but also boost wages so that people can afford to buy the things that they need”, Vance said.
After Brennan suggested this means charges won’t come along at all, Vance urged compassion, saying,” Rome wasn’t built in a day”.
According to him,” Donald Trump has now taken a number of senior activities that are going to reduce energy prices,” and I do believe that these actions will result in lower prices at the gas station and the food business.
Condemnation of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops
In response to the new detention of illegal immigrants by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Brennan pressed Vance about a policy that allowed Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to detain them at schools and churches. As a practicing Catholic, Vance responded that it was the government’s responsibility to eradicate the threat of violent offenders from the standard community, regardless of the circumstances.
Are they concerned about humanitarian issues when the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops receives more than$ 100 million to help them resettle illegal immigrants? Or do they really care about the bottom line? We will carry out multiculturalism laws. We’re going to defend the American people”, he said.
” And I believe the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops should speak to the kids who have been sex trafficked because of Joe Biden‘s broad open border,” Vance said.
He added that the United States Conference of Bishops had “frankly, never been a great partner in frequent sense immigration enforcement that the American people voted for” and that things would “improve.”
Hope assaults cause’ chilling result’ on unlawful immigrants
While elaborating on the aspirations of ICE attacks in schools and churches, Brennan warned that it could have” a knock-on effect — a chilling effect, probably, to individuals to not send their kids to school”.
Vance said,” I sincerely hope it has a chilling influence on illegal immigrants entering our land.”
Refusal of” a state of immigrants”
The philosophy that the U. S. is a “nation of refugees” was coined in 1958 by then-Sen. John F. Kennedy, in a publication published by the Anti-Defamation League, meant to deregulate the U. S.’s immigration rules. The Right and Left have criticized the concept, which is widely supported, as it obstructs the country’s history as a colony.
When Brennan pressed him about Trump’s try to withdraw heritage citizenship, Vance echoed the condemnation.
A very fundamental tenet of American immigration law states that you become a member if you do so in the right way, and the American folks welcome you into our nation’s area in their own accord. But temporary people, people who come in below, whether legally or improperly, and don’t plan to stay, their kids shouldn’t be American individuals. I don’t know any country that does that, or why we would get diverse”, Vance argued.
” Well, this is a nation founded by newcomers. This is a special state”, Brennan said while smirking.
” This is a very distinct nation, and it was founded by some newcomers and some inhabitants. However, 240 years later, we still have the world’s most absurd immigration policy because we were founded by refugees. No nation guarantees that momentary customers ‘ children will have full access to the advantages and advantages of being citizens of the United States,” Vance responded.
Termination of Big Tech issues
Brennan brought up Vance’s earlier accusations of Big Tech, contrasting it with several technology tycoons ‘ gifts and looks at Trump’s opening. Vance suggested that this didn’t change anything.
” My mom and a lot of people who just supported the president and fought every single day to get his election were the other people who were present at the inauguration,” Vance said.

After a back-and-forth, the vice president reaffirmed his belief that Big Tech has too much power, and should change course.
” We believe, fundamentally, that Big Tech does have too much power, and there are two ways they can go about this. They can either respect Americans ‘ constitutional rights, they can stop engaging in censorship, and if they don’t, you can be absolutely sure that Donald Trump’s leadership is not going to look too kindly on them”, he said.
