A reportedly , depressive believe and a 4-year-old female were killed, and an agent was critically wounded, after the suspect opened fireplace Wednesday on two officers who tried to help him, Ohio officials said.
When authorities in St. Clair Township received a call about a potentially suicidal man, the incident took place shortly after 2 p.m., according to a declaration from the police. When the officers attempted to speak with the person who was walking down St. Clair Ave., he pulled out a gun and started shooting, causing authorities to fire back.
” In the fight, one St. Clair Township police officer was shot in the head”, police said. Shots also struck a 4-year-old woman who was “at a local private company”.
While the wounded officer was flexible, he was flown to a Pittsburgh-area hospital in critical condition, the statement said. He underwent surgery Wednesday night and was said to , remain in stable condition , as of 8: 30 p. m. His personality had not been released.
The baby was flown to another doctor, where she later died. She was  , shot in the head while in a dentist company, a police official told WFMJ.
” The 4-year-old girl has tragically passed away  , from her injuries”, police said in an update. ” Choose pray for her and her home”.
Simply before 7 p. m., officers updated to say that the shooter to had died.
” The think, 30-year-old Joseph Como,  , has died from his traumas”, the St. Clair Township Police Department said. ” Our blessings are with his home”.
On Wednesday evening, officers were also trying to make sense of it all. They had no released the little woman’s personality.
” We’re trying to , gather knowledge as fast as we can , so we can release the community”, Police Chief Brian McKenzie told WKBN. We need the entire group to pray for our agent and the victim of the shooting right now.
The Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio, the union representing soldiers in the position,  , launched a money drive , for the agent and the woman before learning of her death.
Following a dreadful officer-involved shooting, President Jay McDonald said in a speech on Wednesday evening that “our thoughts are with the St. Clair Township Police Department in Columbiana County and the citizens of that society.” ” The baby is only 4 years old and was an , innocent bystander in this event”.
The coalition said it would continue to raise money for her home once it learned of her death.
