Under his management, recently confirmed CIA director John Ratcliffe provided a preview of what the organization will look like, including preventing it from becoming biased against particular individuals.
On Fox News ‘ Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, Ratcliffe argued on Sunday morning prospects with Maria Bartiromo that the CIA, which is the best foreign intelligence service in the world, should be honest with the American people about where the likely source of a pandemic was. This includes a million Americans, which has really had an impact on all 345 million Americans in some way. ” People lost work, they lost buildings, they lost their health, they lost their companies, all of that. And so I had the opportunity to make a common judgment that actually occurred within the Biden Administration on my first day.
Soon after Ratcliffe was sworn in as the CIA’s fresh director, the company shifted its perspective on the origins of the COVID-19 crisis, believing that it originated from a Chinese laboratory hole. On Sunday, Ratcliffe reaffirmed the firm’s newly held belief that the company should “get off the sidelines” and reveal what the CIA’s brains is revealing.
Ratcliffe also cited the Trump administration’s strategy of “getting the politics out of the intelligence community,” noting that Trump had requested 51 intelligence officers ‘ clearances as part of the government’s effort to “get the politicians out of the intellect community.” He argued that the intelligence community poorly influenced the 2020 election by making the claim that Hunter Biden‘s laptop was fake in an effort to support Joe Biden, the party’s presidential candidate.
” And so this was no punitive in any way, it was about making sure that people think about this, myself included, going forward, that we don’t combine politics and intelligence”, Ratcliffe said.
