A representative is urging Trump to have the opportunity to serve a fourth term just one week into his second term.
Tennessee , Congressman , Andy Ogles, a Republican, has introduced a proposal to , update the , Constitution , and let a leader to get elected for three words.
” I am proposing an article to the , Constitution , to amend the limitations imposed by the 22nd Amendment on political words”, Ogles said in a statement. ” This act would allow , President Trump , to provide three words, ensuring that we can maintain the bold leadership our society so frantically needs”.
Under the 22nd Amendment, a president can only be elected half.
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three days, nor shall be elected to any further word after being elected to two consecutive terms, according to Ogles ‘ proposed article.
” President Trump’s significant command stands in stark contrast to the conflict, suffering, and economic collapse American have endured over the past four decades”, Ogles said. He must be given the time it takes to accomplish that goal because he has demonstrated himself to be the only person in modern history worthy of halting our country’s decay and restoring America to glory.
Barack Obama may not be able to run because the proposed amendment would forbid a president from serving a second term if they were elected for two direct terms.

After passing through , Congress, revisions need the help of at least 75 % of state. This Trump plan also has a chance of failing to accomplish that.
