After the Trump administration had instructed him to pin shelter places, a senior official at the Department of Justice resigned.  ,
In his departure letter obtained by the New York Times, he wrote,” I spent my entire professional life dedicated to the nonpartisan enforcement of national legal rules and making sure that those around me understood and embraced that core principle of our work.” I am glad of my services and sincerely wish you the best of all efforts to bring justice to the American people.
Amundson stated in a letter to acting Attorney General James McHenry that he wished the agency well as it pursued Trump’s mission.
As you work to protect all Americans from the scourge of violent crime and public corruption, he said,” I wish you and the Department’s management every success in the coming times.”

Amundson’s exit from the governmental organization comes after the Trump presidency has pledged to arrest illegal immigrants who have been residing in sanctuary cities, which do not uphold federal immigration laws. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s officials have previously made a series of arrests in shelter cities across the country, including Denver, New York City, and Chicago.
The DOJ reached out to The Washington Examiner for opinion.  ,
