Tom Homan, the administration’s border king, claimed that Selena Gomez, who opposes size deportation, deserves no apology from the government. Homan said if they don’t like it, therefore they should go to Congress and change the law when he was asked about the brand effect and the argument that not only illegal immigrants but “everyday folks” are being attacked.
” We’re going to perform this activity without explanation. We’re gonna make our neighborhood safer. This entire thing is done for the good of the country. And we’re gonna keep going. No sympathies. We’re moving frontward”, Tom Homan said.
At least 956 people were detained on a nationwide immigration crackdown on Sunday, according to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE), the highest number since Donald Trump’s return to power. In a number of locations, ICE attacks are occurring, including those in Chicago, Newark, and Miami. Universities are also being raided, causing fear in kids. On Sunday, in an interview with ABC News, Homan said he expected arrest and imprisonment numbers to” gradually raise”, and said the focus right now was “public health threats, national surveillance threats”.
In the wake of the large imprisonment, Selena Gomez took to her Instagram account and broke down as she said,” All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t know. I’m so sad. I would like to do anything, but I didn’t. Gomez’s home is from Mexico. ” I’m sorry”, she wrote with an emoji of the Mexican flag on her video which is now deleted.
” Obviously it’s not okay to show compassion for people”, Gomez wrote in a follow-up publish but both comments were deleted.
Homan joined the deportation drive on Sunday, while Dr. Phil ( Phil McGraw ) from television joined the ICE. ” It’s a lovely high-risk vision that we’re going on”, Dr. Phil said in one movie, claiming that the procedure was aimed at capturing over 200 “high-value goals”, or persons with criminal narratives.
