Acosta’s coming at CNN has not been officially announced, but reports suggest the system offered him a late-night system during the graveyard shift, a move that reportedly was made just days before President Trump’s commencement. Also, last year, his 10 a. m. time gambling was replaced by” The Situation Room” with Wolf Blitzer and Pamela Brown as part of CNN’s broader planning reform.
A CNN inside told Fox News Digital that Acosta had” struggled with the selection” and that as a result, his contract may be ending.
” It takes courage”, the CNN insider said.
Acosta made a name for himself during Trump’s first name as CNN’s key White House journalist, with his controversial markets with President Donald Trump and his leadership. Acosta became the country’s main home correspondent after the election of 2020, starting as a weekend show host before transitioning to weekday programming.
CNN declined to comment on the situation.
Fox News Digital has more:
Acosta initially joined CNN in 2007 to cover political efforts before moving on to the White Houses of Barack and Donald Trump. He quickly gained notoriety for regularly engaging in heated exchanges with the president, developing a reputation for posturing, and getting a profile boost from Trump after being called “fake news” and being called “fake news” at times.
Acosta reportedly refused to give up the speaker during a press conference in 2018 as Trump and he argued frequently. Following the dust-up, the White House attempted to withdraw Acosta’s hit move, but CNN argued that it violated Acosta and the network’s First and Fifth Amendment right. However, his credentials were restored.
Acosta’s antagonistic relationship with the first Trump management appeared to be beneficial because he landed himself a book deal and started hosting progressive late-night shows frequently, which more amplified the star power that earned him the position of anchor during the Trump presidency. In a recent statement, he stated that the media is” not the enemy of the people” in a rant against Trump.

While CNN’s earlier management welcomed Acosta’s headline-making confrontations with the first Trump presidency, the show’s current administration reportedly wants a more natural tone in its programming as the next Trump campaign gains momentum.
