A police officer shot and killed a 42-year-old person after the suspect attempted to avoid imprisonment during a traffic stop in Indiana, and he was pardoned by President Donald Trump last week for his role in the smashing of Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021.
The Indiana State Police named 42-year-old Matthew Huttle as the dying suspect who was killed during a traffic stop in a media release released on Monday.
Preliminary studies conducted by the Indiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division Lowell Post on Sunday, according to the original press launch, which was made public on Sunday, indicated that the incident took place when a Jasper County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop at around 4:15 p.m. on Sunday.
The official attempted to arrest the suspect during the customers stop, but the suspect resisted. According to the India State Police, the suspect and the officer got into a fight, which ended with the agent mortally wounding the suspect. The suspect was also in hands of a firearm during the traffic stop, according to the research.

According to The Associated Press, Huttle admitted to entering the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, and was given a six-month jail sentence in 2023. The incident was captured on video and recorded for the exit, which noted that Huttle entered the Capitol Building after about 16 minutes.
” He is not a true believer in any social induce”, Andrew Hemmer, Huttle’s defense lawyer, said in a court filing obtained by The Associated Press. He chose to attend the rally because he believed it would be legendary and because he had nothing to do after leaving jail.
Following a significant trial against January 6 activists under the Biden-Harris management, Huttle was one of the more than 1,500 people who received clemency from Trump next year.
Sheriff Patrick Williamson of Jasper County confirmed in a statement that the official involved in the shooting incident was taking “paid operational depart” as part of standard treatments for an “officer involved shooting” following the fatal shooting at Sunday’s traffic stop.
” Any loss of life is traumatic for those that were near to Mr. Huttle,” Williamson said.” Our sympathies go out to the family of the deceased. ” I will discharge the policeman’s name when I have authorization from the State Police Detectives”.
