Jim Acosta, a CNN anchor, apparently left after being actually cut from its programming schedule.
Acosta was set to leave CNN, according to the Status email, on Monday after it was revealed last week that his 10 a.m. ET system would be replaced with” The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer and Pamela Brown” in the most recent reshuffle on the network.
Acosta recently disclosed in the magazine that CNN CEO Mark Thompson had been given a proposal to move him from his 10-hour slot at 10 a.m. ET to a two-hour casino beginning at nightfall, a much less well-known slot in the lineup.

A CNN inside claimed Acosta” struggled with the choice” and that as a result, his contract perhaps be cut short.
” It takes courage”, the CNN insider said.
CNN declined to comment.
Acosta’s adversarial relationship with President Donald Trump and his advisers during the first Trump administration made him more well-known as CNN’s key White House editor. After the 2020 election, Acosta’s standing at Classifier was shifted to key local correspondent, anchoring a show on the weekends but finally moving his way to day programming.
While CNN’s past command reveled in Acosta’s regular sparring matches with the first Trump administration, the network’s present leadership appears to be trying to look more natural for the next go-around.
