” Tiger King” sun Joe Exotic has taken problem with , Donald Trump , pardoning thousands of , Jan. 6 , paramilitaries and ignoring his calling for mercy.
The original park owner-turned-reality TV star — whose real name is , Joseph Allen Maldonado , — has been formally crusading for a release from prison since his judgment on 19 legal matters in 2020.
Already incarcerated at , Federal Medical Center , in , Fort Worth, Texas, he formerly used social media as an avenue to admit for a presidential pardon from Trump.
Exotic, who is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence for hiring a hitman to snuff out rival , Carol Baskin, maintains his innocence and believes he always received a good shake by comparing his legal situation to those who are regarded as real murderers.
” Being in prison with the information that I have is wrong, especially when they’re releasing people that have murdered people”, he told , Entertainment Weekly. ” I don’t keep whatever against the , Jan. 6 , people, but some of them persons actually hurt some police officers and they’re completely because they were victims. Hell, I’m a prisoner, I’m a political slave in America, and I’m asking President , Donald J. Trump , to put an end to this and let me go home”.
Immediately after being sworn in as the 47th , U. S.  , leader, Trump issued 1500-plus clemency to violent protesters who stormed the , U. S. Capitol , on , Jan. 6, 2021, several of whom were convicted of beating law enforcement officers. More than 140 authorities officers were injured during the seven-hour battle, leading to about$ 2.8 million in restitution, CNN reported.
The 61-year-old Exotic became a pop culture phenomenon with the fugitive achievement of the Netflix 2020 real crime line” Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness”.
After being originally sentenced to 22 years for his part in the murder-for-hire tale against Baskin, Exotic was resentenced by a federal prosecutor to 21 years in prison in , Jan. 2022, the judge shaving off just one season despite Exotic’s demand for mercy as he underwent cancer care.
” I plead to President Trump”, he said, adding:” I’m not begging, but I’m asking that he take five minutes and look at the evidence”.
