President Trump isn’t messing about. As many as 60 senior bureaucrats at the U.S. Agency for International Development ( USAID ) have been given on indefinite administrative leave in a bold move for deliberating to violate his executive orders.  ,

We have identified several activities within USAID that appear to be designed to avoid the government’s professional commands and the mission from the American people, according to a letter from acting USAID executive Jason Gray.
Gray added that while a comprehensive analysis of their behavior is being conducted, those responsible have been placed on administrative leave with complete pay and benefits.
Bring it on!
This adjustment comes in the wake of President Trump’s last executive order, which was followed by the State Department’s following instructions next week. These guidelines ordered USAID to immediately block the designation of new international aid money, stop accepting programs for future money, and problem” stop-work” orders to its grantees. Although a small number of exceptions were permitted, these orders properly placed USAID’s activities in a position of suspended animation.  ,

Obviously, some employees of the agency acted on their own, instantly violating the executive order, by taking things into their own hands.

This unparalleled action has largely stopped the majority of USAID’s$ 22.6 billion in system support. That’s right, many of the global initiatives that USAID generally oversees are now paused as a result of officials ‘ decision to investigate and learn.
According to two recent USAID officials and three previous USAID officials, the order, which was sent via email to members of the top professional and top foreign service, was productive immediately. It comes as USAID and the State Department have received the directive to halt a sizable number of humanitarian and related programs worldwide.
Around 60 officials, according to the current and former officials, are affected by the decision, which appears to be felt by nearly every career staffer who is in charge of the organization, at least in Washington.
Due to the agency’s budget cuts, many of its offices are completely devoid of senior non-political leadership. The entire cadre of leaders who run USAID’s bureau for global health, for example, was put on leave, according to two of the officials.
A former senior Trump administration official who was also informed of the move said,” This is a huge morale hit.” ” This is the leadership of the agency. This is like taking out all the generals. I’m not sure what they intend to accomplish with it.
A representative for USAID did not respond to a request for comment right away.

The new Trump administration isn’t playing games, according to Colombian President Gustavo Petro. Trump has a lot of lessons to learn from his first term, but he won’t tolerate subordination in his second.  ,
