Another Atlanta star has vanished.
DJ Unk, most known for snap-era music like” 2 Step” and” Move It Out”, died on Friday, according to a speech sent from long-time producer and partner Korey” Great Oomp” Roberson. He was 43. At this time, no cause of death is known.
The Atlanta DJ and singer, Anthony Platt, made his 2000 debut on the prestigious independent brand Big Oomp Records. His 2006 comeback song” Beat’n Down Yo Block” reached No. 21 on Billboard’s R&, B and Hip-Hop table.
” Move It Out”, the album’s lead solitary and DJ Unk’s album music, was a fundamental record that fueled the rise of tear music, a dance-crazed style of crunk that derived in Atlanta. It reached No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The track served as the inspiration for a party that became popular on roads and dancefloors all over the country and featured bending your knees and twisting your legs side-to-side, demonstrating its in-real-life popularity long before social media trends.
The trail got so great that , André 3000 and Jim Jones , hopped on the mix.
DJ Unk dropped his junior song” Second Time” in 2008. The next season, he was  , rushed to the hospital , after suffering a heart attack. He talked to XXL Magazine in 2010 about his health fear, stating,” Every morning, I try to make things happen in my home. You can tell from the fact that I had to travel frequently, I had to travel frequently, and the weather was different. It was pressure”.
In a statement that was later  posted on social media, Roberson wrote that” DJ Unk was not just a famous DJ, singer, and maker, but a real cornerstone of our brand and the stamp that he left will be cherished forever.”
” Hit music such as ‘ Walk It Out’ and ‘ 2 Step ‘ have left an indelible mark on the market, and his reputation will continue to inspire musicians, DJs, and enthusiasts alike for years to come. His energy, ingenuity, and dedication to the ship will never be forgotten”.
DJ Unk marks the latest dying in Atlanta’s abundant hip-hop field. Next month, rapper , OG Maco , died from a self-inflicted bullet wound at 32.  , Rich Homie Quan , died from an sudden drug overdose last September. He was 34. In April of last year, famous Organized Noize producer , Rico Wade , died from brain malfunction at 52.
On Friday, a large number of viewers took to social media to express their condolences to DJ Unk:
One person wrote,” DJ Unk blessed all the city performers in the jump time with an opportunity to show off what was happening in Atlanta.”
” The snap time wouldn’t have been the identical without DJ Unk”, another person wrote.
The Atlanta Falcons also posted a gift:
” Please honor me and my home”, his wife, Sherkita Long-Platt,  , wrote on Twitter. My children have only lost their father, and I have just lost my husband. Our way of life will never be the same. I love you Anthony permanently”.
