A woman from Washington position was charged last year with two national offenses, including assaulting a border representative with lethal weapons during a traffic stop on opening day. During the event, a border patrol agent was shot and killed. Teresa Youngblut’s friend, a European national named Felix Bauckholt, was likewise killed after he drew his gun.

Youngblut, 21, was wounded during the shootout, while her companion, Bauckholt, was killed. Bauckholt didn’t getting off a picture, and Youngblut has not as yet been charged in the death of frontier representative  , David C. Maland.
Maximilian Snyder, a person of interest in various murders in Pennsylvania and California, owned the weapons used in Agent Maland’s death. Both Youngblut and Snyder may have been users of a harsh, dramatic border organization that the authorities have called a “murder group.” According to police documents and an appointment with people with expertise of the group, social media posts refer to the party as “vegan Sith,” according to the independent news outlet Open Vallejo.
Snyder was recently detained in Pennsylvania but certainly charged with a triple homicide. He was arrested around 12: 40 a. m. Friday in Redding, Calif., in connection with the Jan. 17 stabbing dying of Curtis Lind, Snyder’s previous employer. In 2022, a team he thought was connected to the “vegan Siths” who were residing on his property and who refused to pay rent, viciously attacked Lind. It is believed that Snyder killed him to stop his testimony because he was scheduled to testify against members of the group in April.  ,
Youngblut had been “in regular call” with someone in Vallejo, Calif., according to court records. Youngblut and Snyder were asked for a wedding certificate in California, but there is no evidence that the two previously wed.

After a motel clerk alerted the authorities about how the pair was dressed, Youngblut and Bauckholt had been under surveillance for many days. According to court documents, they both were “visibly armed” and “attracted to blacks military gear. They claimed they were in area to look at some home when they were questioned by police.
Soon after the police visited the campground, they checked out. After the battle, national authorities seized numerous items, including a nuclear coat, night-vision goggles, a defensive belt with pouch, 48 rounds of.380-caliber jacketed hollow-point munitions, and two hand-held two-way radios, the court records stated. Police also recovered what they called a” book” with Youngblut’s rants about her acids visits.

The “vegan Sith’s”  , formal name is” Zizians”.
Comments on various online forums attributed the attack to a group called the” Zizians.” The organization is a dramatic branch of the Rationalist activity, an ideology that emphasizes the use of scientific methods to improve human decision-making. It has been called a religion by some. Dao, Leatham, and Borhanian were listed as affiliates of the team’s nameake” Ziz,” whose legal name is Jack LaSota, in a notice posted about the class on Rationalist website website LessWrong.com.
Although data obtained by Open Vallejo indicate they lived at the Lemon Street house, LaSota was never detained in connection with the 2022 assault on Lind. No formal documents are available about Lind’s passing or the Vermont killing, including LaSota. They did not respond to a remark demand right away.
LaSota, Leatham, Borhanian, and another man were arrested in Sonoma County in 2019 while protesting an students meeting of the Center for Applied Rationality, a Rationalist volunteer based in Berkeley. The group reportedly used multiple vehicles to block the Westminster Camp and Conference Center’s exits and wore Guy Fawkes masks and clothing inspired by the movie” V for Vendetta” and after the hacker shared Anonymous.

According to Jessica Taylor, a pal of Bauckholt,” The Zizians also reportedly believe that individuals may divide their perception between two personalities by waking one aspect at a time because there are two hemispheres in the mind.” According to her, Bauckholt entered the country last week after arriving from Germany, which suggests that this story has an international bent. According to a database from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Youngblut had traveled abroad in 2022, 2023, and 2024.  ,

Both Snyder and Youngblut were computer science majors and both attended a prestigious prep school in Northern California. Snyder seems to have been a bit of a genius. At the University of Oxford, he studied computer science and philosophy, and he won a prize of$ 11,000 in a research contest for the AI alignment awards in 2023.
How did he and Youngblut fall into a rut?
” There is a whole body of literature and decision theory about this sort of thing. So there’s some amount of legitness behind this”, Taylor said of the Zizians. ” But they take it in all these weird directions where they’re talking about, like,’ Oh, maybe if I make this decision, I will, like, burn the entire timeline.’ And so it gets really weird”.
