President Donald Trump has issued an executive order that one be constructed for the United States, modeled after Israel’s Iron Dome protective helmet. Trump deemed the project a major concern and called for “immediate” work to be done.
Trump made the remarks on Monday night when he said that he had confirmed that he had signed the executive order for the Iron Dome on the plane after takeoff at Joint Base Andrews. Americans “protect different places, but we don’t shield ourselves”.
Discussing his recently-confirmed Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Trump stated:” I know him pretty effectively. I think he’s going to get fantastic”.
” He’s what we need, to quickly begin the design of a state-of-the-art Iron Dome missile defence weapon, which will be able to defend Americans”.
Trump also made mention of Ronald Reagan’s involvement in the program during the Cold War, but that Americans “didn’t had the technology.”
” And now we have remarkable systems. You see that with Israel”, Trump continued. So I believe the United States has a right to that. And everything will be made 100 % right here in the USA.
” We’re going to make sure we have the most deadly fighting force in the world,” the statement read.
On Monday, the State Department said that a potential Iron Dome is one of Hegseth’s several interests.
The director will look into “reinstating soldiers that were expelled because of COVID-19 immunization mandates and creating an Iron Dome anti-missile method for the United States,” according to the statement.
According to Fox News, Trump’s mission has been for some time to include an Iron Dome. During a West Palm Beach celebration on June 14, Trump said,” By the next phrase, we will create a wonderful Iron Dome over our land.” ” We deserve a dome…it’s a projectile defence weapon, and it’ll all be made in America”.
