The Federal Aviation Administration ( FAA ) reports that a passenger jet collided with a helicopter while making an emergency landing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Wednesday night.
Authorities confirmed that various agencies, including the US Park Police, DC Metropolitan Police Department, and the US government, were involved in search and rescue operations in the Potomac River following the crash. Fireboats were dispatched to the field, according to DC Fire and EMS.
As per information, the accident involved a US Army Blackhawk (H-60 ) plane.
Two sets of lamps, believed to be from the plane, were captured on video from an assessment cameras at the local Kennedy Center before a fire erupted. The aircraft made a statement confirming that emergency workers were dispatched to” an aeroplane event on the airport.”
In a speech on social media, DC Fire and EMS stated that fireboats were dispatched to the landscape. As a result of emergency workers ‘ response, takeoffs and flights at Reagan National Airport, which is a few kilometers from the White House, partially ceased.
President Donald Trump was informed about the incident, which involved both a local flight and a military aircraft, by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. According to Lavitt, national and local law enforcement organizations collaborated to liberate victims.
Vice President JD Vance even prayed for those who were hurt in the midair motion close to Reagan Airport. He stated,” We’re monitoring the situation, but for now, this hope for the best”.
