White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was attacked by The View hosts on Wednesday over her comment about “waking up” and claimed she had the work because of her appeal.
” I would like — this young girl, this is her first work. She said something that really irritated me yesterday, so I would like to have her do some research,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said. ” She said,’ There will be no wokeness below.'”
” Let me explain everything to you”, Goldberg continued. ” Without that wokeness, you might not have that work. because there were no ladies there! In this country, there were not many columns for women.
Leavitt held her first media briefing on Tuesday, during which she defended President Donald Trump’s administrative actions and policies. She claimed that” no more money for transsexuality and wokeness across our federal government and agencies” would be in place.
” The reason we fought and busted our behinds]was ] to make sure that you didn’t have to worry about this”, Goldberg ranted. ” And now to hear you talk about it, and to hear anyone talk about” the wokeness,” the wokeness was created for a reason: because women couldn’t enter the colleges they wanted to attend. This is all girls, see. This is not dark, Asian people. This is all people. People were not given a chance to attend this gathering. It was a man’s planet, and we busted our a**es to make sure that this was a child’s world”.
Goldberg concluded,” But choose, please stop using that expression and talking about this because you don’t know what you’re saying”.
Co-host Joy Behar belittled Leavitt’s competent media briefing by suggesting that she was there because of her appeal.
” She’s definitely been put in there because, according to Donald Trump,’ She’s a 10.’ You know that’s what it is”, Behar scoffed.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin squashed Goldberg’s contemptuous says that it was Leavitt’s” second job” and noted that Leavitt had formerly served in the first Trump presidency.
