apparently, US President Donald Trump has mandated a comprehensive legislation enforcement assault on anti-semitism on university campuses, including the imprisonment of pro-Hamas activists on scholar visas.
According to a report from Fox News, Trump’s order requires all federal agencies to notify the civil and criminal specialists that are available to combat anti-semitism within 60 days, ensuring that any anti-Jewish campaigners who violate the law experience punishment or detainment.
” It may be the policy of the United States to fight anti-semitism vigorously, using all available and suitable legal instruments, to prosecute, remove, or otherwise carry to account the culprits of unlawful anti-semitic abuse and murder”, the order state.
National response to school upheaval
According to a White House point strip obtained by Fox News, the department of justice will immediately look into and punish anti-Jewish prejudice, especially at what it describes as “leftist, anti-American colleges and universities.”
The news comes amid rising conflicts on US schools, where anti-Israel presentations intensified after the Oct 7, 2023, Hamas-led strikes on Israel. New Democratic reports have accused the Biden administration of failing to tackle anti-semitism at these organizations and of withholding information about visa recipients among anti-Israel protest.
Education and social plans
In addition to the assault on school anti-semitism, Trump has signed two education-related executive orders. One order may revoke federal funding for K-12 institutions that teach extreme gender ideology or critical race idea, while another supports school choice activities.
Trump also ratified an executive order designating the White House Task Force to honor America’s 250th anniversary. The group will organize the semi-annual celebrations for the US scheduled for July 4, 2026.
Monuments and public order being protected
Additionally, the executive order reinstates a resolution Trump signed in June 2020 to safeguard American monuments and memorials from criminal damage and vandalism. Citing recent incidents of pro-Hamas-related vandalism, the order references attacks on Washington, DC, landmarks, including the treasury department building and Lafayette Square, as well as the Columbus Memorial Fountain and Freedom Bell at Union Station.
