Senate Republicans who are undecided about casting ballots for two of President Donald Trump’s most contentious Cabinet nominees, Kennedy for secretary of health and individual companies, and Gabbard for director of national intelligence, were warned by Vance in an X article on Wednesday.

Kennedy’s assurance hearing was held on Wednesday, while Gabbard’s may be held on Thursday.

Gabbard and Kennedy Jr. are two of Trump’s most special Cabinet picks, both being past Democrats. Gambard ran for president in 2020 on a system that criticized its creation, but he eventually chose Joe Biden over the president. She eventually joined the Republican Party and campaigned for Trump during his 2024 promotion as a result of her growing dissatisfaction with Biden’s term.
Kennedy Jr. previously ran as a Democrat in 2024 before switching to an indie. Over the summer, he left and backed Trump.
