According to Times of Israel, Israel is scheduled to release 110 Israeli prisoners on Thursday in trade for three Jewish victims, including man Agam Berger and citizens Arbel Yehoud and Gadi Mozes.
While the complete listing of prisoners has not yet been confirmed, important evil convicts Zakaria Zubeidi, Mahmoud Atallah, and Ahmed Barghouti are among those expected to be freed, according to several media reports.
- Former al-Aqsa Martyrs ‘ Brigades head Zakaria Zubeidi, who escaped from Gilboa Prison in 2021 before being recaptured, was the author of many problems during the Second Intifada.
- Mahmoud Atallah, who is currently serving a life word for killing a Arab person who was suspected of working with Israel, will be deported to Nablus.
- Ahmed Barghouti, a senior Fatah defense official convicted of attacks that killed 12 Israelis, may be deported worldwide via Egypt.
Of the 110 prisoners to become released, 33 are serving life sentences for dangerous problems, 47 have lengthy prison term, and the remaining 30 are females and adolescents, according to Times of Israel.
Israeli protection authorities have erupted over whether to deport some famous criminals and not allow them to go back to the West Bank or Gaza.
Deportation reduces fast hazards, but some erstwhile prisoners continue to plan attacks from abroad. According to preliminary data from the Shin Bet, only 12 % of prisoners who were released under the 2011 Gilad Shalit deal were directly involved in terrorist plots. However, only 12 % of them did so.
Former Israeli intelligence official Michael Milshtein, who was quoted by the store, claimed that keeping these people in the West Bank makes it easier for Israeli troops to observe and destroy them. Another point to individuals like Saleh al-Arouri, who carried out terrorist problems in captivity before being killed in Lebanon earlier this year.
However, Hamas is set to launch five Thai victims along with the three Israeli victims, according to AFP. This is the second trade in this series since the stalemate broke ground earlier this month.
The continuous truce, brokered by the US, Egypt, and Qatar, aims to secure the release of 33 Jewish captives in exchange for roughly 2, 000 Arab prisoners. Hamas claims that at least eight of the victims who were freed during this time are now deceased.
While the first step of the contract is moving, negotiations for the next phase, expected to include the release of young male Jewish hostages, including soldiers, remain questionable. According to reports from Times of Israel, Hassa promised to the people of Marwan Barghouti and Ahmad Saadat, two prominent prisoners, that they would be freed in the second phase.
The results of these negotiations may influence the course of the conflict now that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington for talks next week.
