Kash Patel, President Donald Trump‘s FBI director nominee, reignited a long-standing feud with Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA ) during his Thursday Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing.
Prior to joining the House Intelligence Committee workers, Patel wrote a memo alleging that the FBI allegedly obtained warrants to detain a former Trump adviser during the 2016 strategy.

Schiff was one of the loudest accents on Capitol Hill accusing Trump and his team of being compromised by Russia while serving as the committee’s performance member. The FISA note is credited with half disproving those assertions.
Schiff began his questioning on Thursday by enlisting Patel to inquire about his role in promoting a tune that the” J6 Prison Choir,” a group of January 6 accused, had recorded.
But, after Schiff began reading the text of a patel appearance on Steve Bannon’s audio, the conversation immediately turned to semantics.
” What we thought would be great is if we captured that voice, and finally, of sure, had the greatest leader, President Donald J. Trump, recite the pledge of allegiance”, Schiff said, quoting Patel’s look. Next we went to a workshop to record it, master it, digitally translate it, and release it as a song that is currently available exclusively on the War Room.
” We, we, we. Why did you tell Steve Bannon that you did it if you had no control over it, Mr. Patel? he continued. ” When we say’ we,’ that includes you, doesn’t it Mr. Patel”?
Patel responded unfavorably:” Not in every example”.
” Well, that’s new”, Schiff exasperatedly countered. ” I generally believed we had to include the people who pronounced the term,” he said.
The dispute continued. Patel claimed that he had been using the “proverbial’ we ‘ appropriately”, to which Schiff threw up his hands and exclaimed,” the imperial ‘ we,’ oh, I see”.
” But when you said’ we,’ you didn’t really mean’ you'”? Schiff said.
Patel replied:” Not unless you have a novel concept for the phrase ‘ we'”?
Seeking to make a place that Patel’s engagement with the Jan. 6 chorus is rude to law enforcement, including to Capitol Police, who fought off protesters on Jan. 6, 2021, Schiff ordered Patel to “turn around” and show the soldiers present in the reading that “you’re glad of what you did”.
” I’m looking at you”, Patel responded quickly.
