The dreadful air plane collision involving an American Airlines local plane carrying 60 passengers and 4 team members and an Army Blackhawk helicopter carrying three service members over the Potomac River in Washington, D.C., was soon submerged in the icy waters of the Potomac, with no reported survivors. President Donald Trump addressed Americans the morning following the tragic incident.
” I speak to you this day in an hour of grief for our society”, Trump began, after a moment of silence. ” This was a dark and intense day in our nation’s money and in our nation’s history, and a horror of terrible measurements”.
” The large search and rescue mission was afoot throughout the day, leveraging every resource at our disposal”, Trump said, praising first firefighters for mobilizing quickly.
” As one country we grieve for every beautiful spirit that has been taken from us so suddenly”, Trump continued.
Trump expressed his condolences and deepest condolences to the families who have passed away, and he also conveyed the world’s genuine love and support during this trying time.
For the family people who are now mourning the loss of their loved ones, Trump said on behalf of the First Lady, himself, and 340 million Americans, “our hearts are shattered alongside yours and our prayers are with you now and in the time to come…we’re ok for you to wipe away the tears and to offer you our passion, our love, and our help”.
Trump reaffirmed to Americans that what distinguishes us is much stronger than what binds us. We pray for the subjects of the horror and their people as we understand this challenging time because America is today” a region in mourning.”
” In times like this, the differences between Americans vanish in comparison to the love and devotion that bind us all, as Americans and even as countries. We are one family and now we are all heartbroken”.
Together, Trump continued,” We take comfort in the knowledge that their quest ended in the warm embrace of a loving God rather than in the warm waters of the Potomac.”
Trump stated that it will not take decades to release the views regarding the cause of the tragedy and that an investigation into the drama has already begun. Trump pledged to stop another tragedy from happening, and he praised the staff at novel transportation secretary Sean Duffy for their tireless efforts throughout the investigation.
