” The Voice” student Ryan Whyte Maloney, who appeared on Season 6 of the NBC reality competition series, has died by suicide. He was 44.
Murphy died Tuesday  , in Las Vegas, the Clark County Coroner confirmed to Citizens.
His death was attributed to a gunshot wound to the head, according to the prosecutor.
On Monday,  , Maloney posted a since-expired picture to his Instagram stories , from what appeared to be a table, saying,” Nine good Frenchmen for a personal gathering now, and we will be rocking”, according to People and TMZ.
A multitalented singer, the Michigan local played piano, violin, cello, drum and actually spent a decade fronting the prog-rock group Indulge, before he pivoted to dance activities.
With Indulge, he recorded 2005’s” Today’s Another Day” recording and, on his own, recorded” Where I’ve Been”.
Prior to auditioning for” The Voice” in 2014, Maloney also earned a name for himself with country tunes like” Hillbilly”,” Michigan Moonlight” and” Living with No Directions”.
After a” Voice” blind interview with Journey’s” Lamps”, Maloney joined Blake Shelton’s crew, where he was one of the best five winners. On the show, he covered touches like Tina Turner’s” What’s Love Got To Do With It” and likewise performed on the Season 6 episode.
He , released several singles , between 2020 and 2024, including” Mountains”,” You Didn’t Care”,” National Eagle” and, most late,” I Now Did”.
According to his , site, Maloney opened for and shared the stage with dozens of artists including Shelton, Tim McGraw, Shakira, Usher, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, One Republic, Lady Antebellum and many more.
His connection with Shelton continued until the end, as Maloney had a residency at the country star’s Nashville, Tennessee, table,  , Old Red, which opened next January. In addition to participating in the pre-opening holidays, Maloney had an ongoing citizenship at the facility.
